Samsung makes great TV's that surpass every other manufacturer in their class. I have two Samsung's in my house and I can tell you the image is beautiful. This TV has an LED screen and in my opinion this the way to go (LED is similar to LCD its back-lit better so that they are no dark spots on the screen).

Now add in that this TV can directly connect to the internet and I'm sold. TV's of this class have never been cheaper.

One thing that I have found with TV's that its very important to actually look at the TV in person. Now when you look at the TV's, go to a place like Walmart to see them, because many times specialty stores like Best Buy play with the lighting controls on the TV and in the store to skew the image to there advantage. Once you look at the TV simply look and decide which one looks better to you.

The next step to take into consideration is features. Here are a few that come with this TV:

This Samsung comes with Auto Volume which automatically adjusts the volume of the desired channel, lowering the sound output when the modulation signal is high or raising the sound output when the modulation signal is low. Samsung UE32H5000 32-inch Widescreen 1080p Full HD LED TV with Freeview HD Review

This TV produces a great picture and if you're not worried about it being Smart or having 3D capabilities, then it's a must have. You'll be hard pressed to find a TV as affordable as this one, and it's super simple to use.

I'm used to having a Smart TV, but at this price decided that it would be better to buy this and then a separate set-top box, settled for the Amazon Fire TV in the end, after lots of debate between my partner and I. We've not yet received the Fire TV, but we're impressed, we're able to easily play content from USB, although it wouldn't support my 4TB external HD, which my LG TV does.

For an additional cost you can make this a wireless TV by plugging in a special USB from Samsung, that means you could share files from a PC or Mobile device easily and quickly, without having to buy anything outrageously expensive, or plug anything into the TV.

If you're looking for a bedroom TV, then this is perfect. It's nice and large so you don't have to worry about squinting, and it's affordable and adaptive enough to ensure that you get more from a TV than just standard Freeview. Picture quality and the actual design are impeccable as well.

I was looking for a cheap full HD TV and saw this, after reading the other reviews I decided to go ahead with the TV and wasn't disappointed. Set up was extremely easy, the picture is fantastic, it looks nice, and the price can't be beaten.

The best feature for me on this TV was the USB input, I already have the WDTV device and has served me well but when I plugged my external hard rive into the USB it immediately recognised the device - the menus are in a nice easy format and it played every video I have , from mp4 & AVI to .MKV files (this was the biggest surprise to me that it could play the High Def file type, I have HD files and the video quality is astounding),

You can resize the videos to fit the screen using the tools button and skip quickly through the file using the cursors on the remote (instead of using the fast forward and rewind, people who watch AVI's know the frustration of losing your video postion and having to fast forward at a maximum of 16x to the correct place!).

All in all, if you want a full HD TV at a low price then look no further, the only downside for me was that you can't record via USB but apart from that I can't fault it.

When I Buy a "32 Inch" TV, What Am I Really Getting?

If you've been confused by the sheer number of TVs all claiming to be a particular size but all having many different shapes and sizes in real life, then maybe this will help shed some light on your problem.

For years, the major TV manufacturers have agreed on a single way to measure their screen sizes. That method was to measure the diagonal of the screen in inches and use that as the main figure quoted for the television size.

Now, that sounds easy, but what was happening in reality was that they were measuring the diagonal of the maximum size of the front of those big old cathode ray tubes that used to be in the telly. What that did was give them a lot of leeway in the actual size that you, the customer, could actually see because the tube itself was wrapped in a frame (to hold it in) that often ate into the size you could really see. So, televisions with a small surround often delivered more of a 32 inch screen than others.

All this gets even more complicated now we have 32 inch widescreen TVs. The old diagonal measure is still being used but the frames have got a bit smaller since LCD screens are easier to hold. The new problem comes from the fact that we have all gone widescreen.

Imagine the old style screen having a 32 inch diagonal....now rotate that diagonal a bit so that it goes across a new widescreen TV. Doing that has made the screen fit the new 16:9 (that is 16 across and 9 down) kind of shape but has flattened the diagonal a bit. So in fact what you have now is a TV with a slightly smaller height, a slightly larger width and the same 32 inch diagonal as before.

That is why folk moving to a widescreen TV from a traditional 4:3 screen often buy the next bigger model up, as they are used to the picture having a certain height from where they are viewing.
